When I found this site and decided to become a member and start my blog, I discovered I needed to find a subject to write about. The suggestion from Today. com was to find something you are passionate about.

So I took a look at things I’ve been passionate about over the years, such as camping, golfing, making beaded jewelry, sewing, all sorts of different crafting things, now freelance writing.

But the one abiding passion of my life, other than my family, of course, seems to be saving money. Even as a kid, I had an old Vicks jar that I saved coins in. If I looked I could probably find it around my house somewhere, as a memento of days gone by.

So that’s what I decided to write my blog about. We’ll discuss ways to save money at home, on the road, while having fun, you name it, if there’s a way to save money while doing it, I’ll try to find it and let you know about it too.

You’ll be seeing some recipes here as well, mainly ones that can be prepared on a budget, nothing with exotic ingredients that you’ll have to purchase in order to make it. Mostly just regular standbys that can be made in a money saving way. Unless I find something exotic that can be inexpensive to make!

So please plan on coming back to see what we have for you every day. There’ll be how-tos and how-not-tos and maybe some new products, as well as money saving tips and recipes.
